Walden Williams, who was prosecuted for lying to purchasers of real estate lots in the Dominion Road Ranch Subdivision by telling them that water came with the lots, has been convicted.
According to Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce E. Dudley, Williams was found guilty of all charges in this real estate fraud case, which included two felony counts of grand theft, two felony counts of sale of land without a public report, and one misdemeanor count of false advertising. The jury also determined that Williams had stolen more than $200,000 from the people he victimized.
Walden Williams will be sentenced in November, at which time he could receive a prison term of over eight years.
