Steep price for CPA in Bakersfield mortgage fraud

Another player has fallen in the saga of the Crisp and Cole mortgage fraud conspiracy in Bakersfield, California.

Kevin Sluga, father-in-law of defrocked Realtor David Crisp, has had his CPA license stripped by the  California Board of Accountancy for the significant part he played in the real estate crimes of Crisp and his business partner Carl Cole.  Sluga used his accounting firm, California Business Solutions, also dba Comprehensive Business Solution, to engage in the creative invention of letters that verified employment for fraudulent loans that Crisp and Cole used to obtain mortgages through their firm Tower Lending. As a result, lenders were defrauded out of $4 million, which was used to buy properties.
